Marlow Ropes Ltd are a privately owned British manufacturer of specialist synthetic fibre ropes and assemblies.

Our factory in Hailsham, East Sussex boasts a wide range of rope making capabilities and technologies. We distribute around the world and have our own sales and distribution company in the USA.

We specialise in the use of exotic synthetic fibres such as Vectran, Zylon, Technora, Nomex and Twaron and are a key partner with DSM Dyneema®, designing specialist lines from Dyneema SK99, SK78, SK75, SK38, DM20 and XBO.

FAST ROPE Marlow Ropes designed and developed the original Fast Ropes in conjunction with the British Special Forces. These ropes are now in use by traditional regiments, special forces and SWAT teams in four corners of the globe. A Marlow Fast Rope can always be identified by Marlow ‘Black Marker’ trademark. The unique construction of the Marlow Fast Rope allows for comfortable control throughout the descent and makes it easier to slow down and brake. The suppleness of the construction means that the rope is not hard on the hands and less force is required that with other ropes. Oil and general spillages do not affect speed or control during descent as the Marlow Fast Rope will absorb liquids. Available in standard 40mm nominal diameter and thinner 32mm nominal diameter version. FRIES Designed as a multi-use product for rapid deployment and retrieval, reducing the risk to helicopters and personnel. Each Marlow F.R.I.E.S can carry 6 fully equipped personnel with its strong and durable loop and lanyard system secured in place and made from Marlow's hardwearing Black Static LSK. The F.R.I.E.S can also be used as a regular FAST ROPE. The unique construction of the Marlow Fast Rope allows for comfortable control throughout the descent and makes it easier to slow down and brake. SPIES Marlow's SPIE systems have been designed for the transportation of a larger number of personnel with increased safety. Higher strength to accommodate greater number of personnel (10 to 12 as standard), the Marlow S.P.I.E.s use a unique 2 loop integrated colour coded Dyneema® safety system for all personnel. The Loop system is manufactured using lightweight, high strength Dyneema®, eliminating the need for heavy, bulky metal fittings. The SPIE also has an additional yellow loop for easy retrieval. QRM A device rigorously designed for the release of fast ropes and extraction ropes used during fast evacuation from helicopters. Designed to be used in conjunction with multiple aircraft types, two types of slots are available as standard for helicopter winches to suit different attachments. Made to measure slots are also available and there is a wide passage for different terminations i.e. standard soft eye, DLT, MFT and other metal terminations. BLACK MARLOW Known world wide, "BLACK MARLOW" is our dedicated abseiling rope and is a tried and tested, high quality rappelling rope used by regular and special forces around the world. Specifically designed for rapid descent from helicopters, rock faces and in urban warfare situations, the combination of special cover construction and low stretch core ensures high performance and reliability. The high tenacity plaited cover also ensures comfortable handling but with excellent abrasion resistance and durability. STATIC LSK Marlow Static LSK is a low stretch kernmantle rope designed for rope access, work positioning, caving and abseiling. Static LSK ropes are manufactured using high quality, high tenacity polyamide and significantly out perform the EN 1891 test standards with outstanding dynamic properties. Compatible with all relevant diameter rope management, climbing and descending devices. Static LSK is available in a range of flecked or solid colours with a visible year of manufacture marker as standard. DIABLO Marlow Diablo is a high quality, CE certified Type A rope with a special heat resistant cover. Designed for military, police and emergency services, Diablo is essential for all rope access professionals who require a low stretch kernmantle type rope with added resistance to extreme environments and hard use. When exposed to direct heat (for example from a blow torch or close proximity to halogen lamps), Diablo's survival time at temperatures exceeding 300°C, is 5 times that of regular static ropes. In instances of heat exposure up to 300°C, Diablo continues to maintain load bearing properties in excess of 10kN even after 15 minutes, whereas regular static ropes will catastrophically fail after 45 seconds. K.E.R.R The original Kinetic Energy Recovery Rope (K.E.R.R) was designed and developed by Marlow and British forces to provide fast and effective recovery of armoured vehicles through the transfer of kinetic energy from the towing vehicle to the trapped vehicle. It allows quick and easy deployment for rapid recovery without the need for specialist vehicles. RDT WINCH ROPES Using Marlow's D2 rope technology, but using an HMPE core and high tenacity Polyester cover, our RDT/ VRS winch ropes are specially designed rope assemblies for rapid deployment transporters as used by the 2 main UK recovery operators. Available in various lengths and with various hooks/fittings. Our RDT/VRS winch ropes are also available with a HMPE / Polyester blended cover for increased durability and longevity.
